Today is Saturday. We had nothing much on the schedule today, so the ladies like to stay in bed a little longer, but for Hudson and I (really more Hudson than me) anything after 7:30 is just a waste of prime play time. So today we left the ladies in bed an headed out before 8:00 for breakfast and a bike ride. I thought we'd share a few pictures from our morning out.
After breakfast we rode out to the river near our house. We have been watching the construction of a new bridge across the river. Looks like they are almost done with the supports.
Of course our time down by the river quickly turned to throwwing rocks in the river trying to make the biggest splash. What is it about boys and throwing rocks into water? We could have done this all day.
After a long ride down and around the river we headed to the park to get a drink and throw the football.
Hudson found this little boy who enjoyed playing with this strange looking ball.
Hudson finds friends no matter where he is.
We did a little punting....
and a little throwing...
and of course a little jumping over make believe defenders.
Hudson even let me try to get a good picture of him for his mom.
We stayed out until lunch time and had a great morning. I can't believe the ladies missed out on all this fun!

Thank you for sharing this. My favorite son and my favorite GRANDson. With Tom and Rikki (and Ashley, Abigail, and Ainsley) in Mexico, I miss you a little more! LOVE you (all)!
Thanks for sharing your day with us. I was particularly missing you guys this morning and low and behold a post and pictures. Father knows what we need. Would have been nice to have pictures of the girls too, even sleeping---but another day.
What a fun morning you had! Thanks for sharing the pics of your city.
Hudson, LOVE your cap!
You are a fun dad, Rob. Looks like you guys had fun! Glad to see how the bridge is coming along and remember the October expo flower time. Great pictures of Hudson!
I love that Hudson makes friends wherever he goes. I believe great things are going to come from that gift.
I love all the pictures even more now that I've been there... I can picture things a lot better in my mind! :)
Looks like you guys had a good time! Look forward to seeing a Mom and Hannah day next!
I remember when Hudson was the little kid chasing after the big kids - he's grown up so much.
What a cutie!
