Thanks to all of you who were so concerned about Rob and his finding out about the OU game. He ended up getting to watch the whole thing a few hours later, so was able to find out the outcome of the game himself. However, OSUDickson's concern for me was above and beyond... your compassion was amazing. (and no comments from the Wright household either) :)
We were very pleased to see Reagan and Heather this week as well as their friends from TN. I however have only gotten to see them for about 24 hours, as I helped them get settled then returned to our city for language class. Rob has gone back and forth a few times this week so he could also go to class, but we are looking forward to another 2 days with them Friday and Saturday.
They brought with them a suitcase full of stuff for us. I don't even want to think about how many suitcases of "stuff" we have brought over in all. However, I am sooooo thankful for all the goodies we were able to discover. Cake and brownie mixes, American shampoo/conditioner for my CRAZY hair, treats for the kids, and CHEETOS and GOLDFISH!!
And finally, no "care package" would be complete without.......
a tribute to the OKC Thunder! Thank you Miss Debbie for the penant and Mom for the OKC Thunder gear. Hudson is now ready for the new season.
In other news....Joyce, the yellow fish has gone on to Greater Waters, The Big Sea in the Sky, or actually the Squatty in the Bathroom. When I got home from traveling I called Rob and told him, "something is really wrong with Joyce, half of her body is missing, but she is still swimming." He said we would look at her when he got home the next day. When he got home....he said...it is time. We decided to wait until after the kids went to bed. It was difficult, because she looked sooooo gross. I wanted to take a picture, but Rob said it was too gruesome. So, you will have to imagine our poor fish, swimming around with half of her body. All the other fish are doing fine.

That Jayne - she is my kind of gal!! I would NEVER rub in the fact that OSU won last week and are in an undefeated season as we go into homecoming with Baylor this week ranked #8! (insert dramatic voice here.) Seriously, we don't get to be in this happy place very often. Humor us.
Yay for Reagan! Sorry for the fish! Half a body, huh? If that ever happens to Roman's fish Stella - I am SOOO taking pictures!
And more good news.......we got the most precious piece of mail yesterday! Roman was so excited to get that card. How long did that take? 2 1/2 weeks? It looked like it travelled around the world!!

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm about my sympathetic comment? I was really being sympathetic! I would never want to be the one to have to break that kind of news to Scott. I'm with Bev, too, let us enjoy our day in the sun - while it lasts. :)
I am saddened by the demise of my grandfish, Joyce. Are there plans for future grandfish?
