Welcome to the Family

For the last month or so, Rob and I have been getting emails and little notes from our children. They have said,

dear mom and dad, we would really like a puppy.

We promise to care for it, and love it and

do all the things we need to care for it.

Love, your children

So, because we are such great parents we said, NO!! Please be reminded we live on the 6th floor and walking and caring for a puppy would NOT be convenient, plus there are times when we travel and that would definitely not be convenient. And we would probably fall in love with the puppy then come back to the USA someday, and what would we do with the family member? (no comment from Keith and Jessie) So, today.....we went to the Bird and Flower Market (which has a lot more than birds and flowers) and bought our newest family members......Joyce, Thomas, and the Fab 5.

Joyce is the yellow fish, Hannah's, and Thomas is the orange fish, Hudson's, and then Rob and I picked the Fab 5, small black and white striped fish that swim really fast! And wonders of wonders, we didn't just buy a fish bowl, but a tank with filter, bubbles and a bridge! WHOA! In case you are unaware, I have a terrible history with animals which started with my parakeet when I was 6years old. Within a few days, dead. I have killed every fish I have ever owned and right now the running total is 6. Rob and I had a dog when we were first married, but eventually the dog ran away after we had Hannah and spent a week in the hospital with her, forgetting to feed the dog. (I know, I know....terrible!!!) We found a baby bunny in our front yard and my kids cared for it until it died 2 days later, tragic moment for my children. All this to say, it is a wonder my kids have survived 10 years. I will keep you posted as to how long our new family members last.

So far, Hannah and Hudson are thrilled with our new family members. Thankfully their replacements are right behind our house in case we need to run up their and get some more!

Gee, I never knew you had such bad luck with animals. Thank goodness you're so much better with people.

ps...don't get to attached to them.

cats are pretty self sufficient ya know! all soft and cuddly. you can leave a ton of food out, w/ a litter box and leave them for, oh 10 days like we did one time. just cuz i think your kids need to touch and cuddle somethin'!

but that yellow fish sure is pretty!!!

I hope you all have fun w/ all of the fish and that they (and any of their replacements) bring a lot of entertainment for you all. Sound like a win-win situation for all!- Laura Sadikoglu

"No Dogs Allowed" huh?

Sounds like large mouths aren't the only thing that runs in the wagoner family! :)

oh my goodness - i have the same luck with animals! EVERY pet i've ever had has died within 2 years. our mia (miniature yorkie) turns 3 years next month *crosses fingers* ... that'll be the longest i've ever kept a pet alive! our fish are usually gone within 5 days. it's so sad!!!
i'll say a little prayer for the fishies!

I was thinking Lisa Moran had brain-washed you on the dog issue!!! (jk Lisa!)

Those are some cutie pie fish you got and what a fun playground for them!

And my answer to the trivia question this time is "a hannah montana wig." When should I come for dinner??? (don't forget i don't like rice.)
