How do you know when your child is sick? Well, when it is Hudson there is no doubt in your mind. When my noramlly active, funny, bouncing off the walls child comes in at 4pm and says I think I need to lay down, then stays on the couch until bedtime.....something is wrong. So, last night and so far today I have been "hanging out" with Hudson. He has a fever and feels like doing nothing but laying down. So last night we watched Team USA beat Angola with wet washcloths on his head and today he is watching movies.
I am staying home from class today to serve food and water and cold cloths. I wonder if there is ever an age you get to when you don't want your mom to be with you when you are sick. I think this may be one of the best parts of being a mom.....it isn't everyday you get to hold your 8 year old boy all day.

I don't think you ever grow out of wanting your mom when you're sick. I always want my mom when I'm sick to this day. No matter how hard he tries, Mike just doesn't do it like Mom.
I'm happy to say they don't stop needing their mom even when they're 21!! Now this could change when there is a G*I*R*L in the picture! yikes.
Feel better Hudson!
I don't think there is anything better than having your Mom near when your not feeling well. Moms just seem to have a way of making it all better. I agree taking care of your "little ones" no matter how big they are is definitely the best parts of momhood. I hope Hudson feels better soon.
Nope... you never get over wanting your mom there when you are sick.
I'll never forget the first time I threw up after being married to your brother. My husband was grossed out at the idea of holding my hair back while I puked. What happened to that whole "in sickness and in health" thing?
Well... I guess we're still married. BUT STILL
Even after four years he still hasn't figured out that I'd like him to ring out the cold washcloth instead of having it handed to me dripping wet. :)
Hope you're all better soon buddy!
