A long time ago.....

This morning, Rob and I were making breakfast. Hudson was hanging around in the kitchen with us talking. He mentioned something about writing something on his blog when he is 50 years old. The conversation went like this:

Hudson: I won't write about Dad beating me at Star Wars until I am 50.

Alicia: I bet when you are 50 there won't be blogs, there will be something else. You know we didn't have blogs when I was your age.

Hudson: How did you talk to people?

Alicia: Telephone, and we didn't have cell phones.

Hudson: Wow, must have been hard.

ha ha

I clearly remember when my family got our first cordless telephone, and saying to my mom...

"wouldn't it be cool if we could just take this in the car with us and it would work everywhere?!?"

and her saying "oh, I'm sure someday we'll have phones like that..."

I also remember telling her that I think someone should invent a tv that people could just hang on their walls like a picture...

Let me just tell you... there are billions of dollars of my 8 year old ideas in someone elses bank account today.

I remember once when Clint was about 8 and the batteries were dying in the TV remote. We had to actually get up and change the channel. When I told him that's how we did it all the time when I was a kid, he felt really sorry for me. Imagine how he felt when I told him there were only 4channels to choose from so we didn't change it often!
