IT happened this week

It happened at our house this week.  The youngest child finally heard the words he has been dreading.

"Hudson, your sister now gets to stay up an hour later than you."

I wish I could express the look of shock, dismay, bewilderment that came over Hudson's face in that moment.  He stood in the living room, shaking his head back and forth not moving for a while. Then he finally said, "you're kidding, right?"  nope.  More shaking of the head. More dismay.

He submitted. Still shaking his head.

Life is shocking from time to time, isn't it. Would like to have seen that. Been wondering when life was going to change for Abigail. Ashley is showing signs of growing up too. I figure one of these days she is going to like different things than "younger" sis.

And I quote-"Hudson's going to bed now"

Hmm...so putting the youngest to bed and letting him assume the oldest is going to bed at the same time while allowing her to stay up 30 more minutes won't work forever? OK, I'm taking notes. Keep me posted on other things I need to know. :-)
