A Day at the Park

We have a strange schedule that keeps us busy working through the weekends. Rob travels every Saturday so we miss our Saturdays together. We decided to make our school week stretch from Tuesday to Saturday and we take Mondays off. It is what I have always wanted...no Mondays!!
Two weeks ago, Rob was out of town. That Monday I decided to take the kids to the Stone Forest, a park in our new town. It was really fun and beautiful. We packed a picnic lunch and our bag full of balls, bats, mits, etc... and headed out. Ryan, my brother, came with us as he was out of school that day for a holiday.

We found a great spot for a picnic. This is Hannah's "please mom, take the pic so I can eat lunch" face. Hudson and Ryan threw the ball for a while. Ryan throwing......Hudson, in the red, catching........The crowd of people coming to watch us play and picnic. While the boys threw the balls around, Hannah and I went and explored the caves and rocks in the stone forest. It was really fun!
And......she's off!
Hudson climbing the rocks.

Conquering the rock. The girls during our exploration. It was such a fun day for a picnic and to be outside. It is just starting to be bearable here where you can actually go outside and not pour sweat. We were all happy for some sunshine and some good times out of doors!
