Once upon a time there were 2 children who lived in Oklahoma. One day after school they came home and found a baby bunny in our flower bed. They played with it, made it a home out of a shoe box, and took great care to decorate the shoe box for the new bunny. They played for hours with their bunny, making plans and dreaming of all they would do with their new pet. What they didn' t realize was that little bunny, named Cookie O, had been attacked by a cat and was in bad shape. That's why she wouldn't hop or run away from the little hands caring for her. At bedtime, the parents noticed the little bunny was going fast. The children said "Goodnight, see you tomorrow!" to their bunny and went to bed. Not five minutes later, the bunny was dead. The parents knew they had to tell the children immediately, or they would awake at the first light of dawn to play with their bunny and have quite a suprise. The children cried and wailed, they loved their new bunny and were heart broken for her loss.....it had been 5 hours.
4 years later......the children have a second chance and are so excited. We have a new member of the family. Her name is Bubbles.
On Thursday the kids began a 5 day vacation from school for the May Holiday. (I think everyone should celebrate the coming of May, by the way!) So, in the afternoon we had a family outing to the Bird and Flower Market....which also has pets. Our kids wanted to see and pet the puppies. Upon arrival, we meandered through the shops, found the puppies and commented on their cuteness. We will not be buying a puppy while living on the 6th floor.
A bunny, however, is not gross or messy....so far. The children take turns cleaning her cage and feeding her. She is only 1 month old, so isn't as big or as fast as she will be. Both children are enjoying her so far and were just pleased when she lived through the night!!

Sweet Babies---cute bunny!
First thing Grace did this morning was ask me when we could see the bunny again! So fun!
Well I have had a granddog and several grandcats so why not a grandbunny. Bubbles! Where did that name come from? Welcome to our family Bubbles.
So cool! Bubbles will be roughly the same age as Ty...
